Vacation Mode

This morning, I woke up feeling very relaxed. I went through my usual routine - bathroom, brush teeth, make coffee - and somewhere in there I took out my phone and noticed it was Sunday. I had been enjoying my vacation so much I completely forgot what day it was. In the 174 weekends I have been sending out this email, this is the first that I was so blissfully distracted I completely forgot about it. Although perhaps that's not entirely true because there have been many seasons in these last few years when I was so ahead of the game I didn't need to remember it was Sunday because I already had several posts timed and ready for delivery weeks in advance.

To allow myself some time to get back to that, I've decided to take a break for the month of July. I will keep writing, of course, but I am going to spend some time accumulating some Sunday Starters, writing some professional development articles, and revisiting my website to optimize for the future. Rather than having a new post, I will still send my email with some different popular Starters of the past. If you have a favorite, please respond to this email and share it so I can add it to my queue. For today, I will point you back to a little over a year ago when I embraced by vacation mode side with a little thing called Pura Vida.

Thank you to those that read every week and send me emails and messages about how my writing has inspired you. Those notes mean more to me than I can ever say and they have inspired me to keep dreaming impossible dreams. I have a big announcement coming in August that I cannot wait to share with you, so enjoy the summer of reruns and stay tuned!
